When Foley makes your morning plan, it now tells you in one short line - how many tasks, when the day starts and with what - instead of staying silent or reading out the whole list. While it works, it says "Preparing your day, hold on…" and which step it is on, and the plan arrives several seconds sooner.
If a plan isn't read aloud, the card says why - for example, that Speak results is off in Settings.
A spoken plan now counts your tasks correctly (a lunch break or a calendar event is not a task) and stays on screen until you dismiss it.
Plans no longer stop to ask how long each task takes: Foley estimates from the kind of task and says what it assumed.
Where your account has it, replies are read in a new, natural streamed voice that starts sooner. Foley never falls back to the Mac's built-in voice: if a reply can't be read aloud, the words stay on screen with a line saying why.
If Foley can't reach your subscription check when it starts, it tries again within a minute instead of waiting a quarter of an hour.
You can delete a transcript, and it goes from every device and from Foley's service.
Turning AI consent on or off in Settings takes effect at once, and says so.
A card pointing to a task on another day stays until you dismiss it.
Asking for a plan on an empty account says to add a few tasks first.
The microphone permission prompt says you can type instead. A failed Google sign-in is explained in plain words.

While Foley waits for you - a question, a Delete/Keep choice, or a screenshot to crop - the dashboard no longer shows that same capture as "Unfinished capture" with Retry greyed out. Pressing Esc on a question now means "not this one", and the capture goes with it instead of coming back later.
If a Delete you confirmed can't be applied, Foley no longer gets stuck: new captures work straight away, and the one that failed is offered for Retry.
"Move all the tasks in Garden to Home" now moves the open tasks you can see, instead of asking about each one because of tasks you already finished.
The morning plan Foley sends shows its lines and stays until you dismiss it.
A photo or screenshot of a calendar page uses the page's own dates, and asks when it can't tell the year.
Foley now keeps its own log when opened from Finder or the Dock, so if something goes wrong, support can see what happened.
A capture with nothing spoken, like a photo, no longer shows an empty "+ Heard:" line.
When you speak another language, the notes Foley adds about what it did - "Marked … done", "Left … alone", "… is in your list" - are in that language too, with the right plural and "and" when there is more than one task.
Asking Foley to find somewhere to book - a table, dinner out, tickets - without saying the day or how many people now asks for them first, instead of searching straight away.
Research added to a task no longer ends its lines with source numbers like "[10]".
A change that sync had to hold back no longer stays stuck under "Changes that did not go through" when the same page is fetched twice.
On Windows, the first window fits on your screen, the tray icon says "Foley" and reopens a minimised window, and Settings names Windows Credential Manager instead of a keychain.

Repeating tasks work here now, as they do on your phone and the web. Ticking one ticks off today's, not the whole series, and the next one is waiting.
A repeating task reminds you every time it comes round. Missing one no longer silences the rest.
When Foley can't tell how often something should repeat, it asks - Every day, Every weekday, Every week, Every month or Don't repeat - instead of saying "could not do: repeat."
When Foley stops to check something with you - which task you meant, or what time - it asks in the language you spoke. Say "Pagar a conta da luz amanhã" and the question comes back in Portuguese, not English. Spanish, French, German and Japanese work the same way.
1.0.63
26 September 2026 Mac · Windows
When Foley answers without changing anything - "Nothing is due tomorrow", or a question about a task - the answer reads normally again, with Follow up and Dismiss on their own row underneath. It was squeezed to one word per line.
Speak again within a minute of an answer and Foley hears it with that answer in mind, so "actually, make it 8" is about the task it just told you about. After a minute you start fresh; Follow up still carries the last answer at any time.
1.0.62
25 September 2026 Mac · Windows
Say a reminder any way you like - "6 hours before", "an hour and a half before", "the night before at 9" - and Foley keeps it exactly, instead of making you pick from a short list. Reminder times are spoken in words now, so you hear "30 minutes", not "30 m".
Tell Foley a goal - "I want to rent a car", "we should repaint the kitchen" - and it adds the first concrete step beside it, not just the goal.
Your morning plan stays on screen long enough to read. The widget says "Hiding in Ns" with a small bar; hover over it to hold it, and it starts again when you move away.
Your morning plan arrives once. When the day's plan has already been made, the Mac shows it instead of making a second one.
A capture on your own AI key no longer hangs when the first answer is slow.

When you add a task, Foley now says where it went - "Added: Buy oat milk - no date, in Personal" - so a task with no date, or for another day, no longer looks lost behind Today.
The sharing panel says what became of each invitation email: Sent, Delivered, Bounced, or Not sent. Copy link stays on every invitation, and Copy code sits beside it when the email carried a code.
1.0.60
23 September 2026 Mac · Windows
Ask Foley to change every task in a project - "move all the tasks in garden to Friday" - and it no longer stops to ask about one of them.
When Foley is not sure which task you meant, it asks in plain words: "Just to check before I change anything: did you mean ...?" Answer it, and what you say next acts on the task you picked.
A plan you ask for by voice no longer asks how long the agent's tasks will take when "Leave agent-made tasks out of the plan" is on. If every question would have been about one of them, Foley plans your day without asking.
"Show N agent tasks left out" on a spoken plan brings the agent's tasks back into the plan you asked for, and nothing else you said is done a second time.
Each capture now keeps a 90-day support record - which model answered, how long it took, and what Foley's checks changed - so one that went wrong can be looked into. The privacy page describes it.
1.0.59
22 September 2026 Mac · Windows
Your morning plan leaves out the tasks an agent wrote, as "Leave agent-made tasks out of the plan" always promised. It used to fill the day with them.
When a plan leaves agent tasks out, it says how many, with "Show N agent tasks left out" to bring them back for that plan alone; the setting stays as it is. An agent's task on a plan carries a small AGENT tag.
"Plan my day" said to Foley leaves agent tasks out too, and its "Planned N tasks" counts what is left. The same button puts them back.
1.0.58
21 September 2026 Mac · Windows
Saying a task is done completes it. "It's done, tick it off" could open the delete confirmation instead; Foley now marks the task done and says so, and only asks about deleting when you say delete.
Pressing Keep on a deletion Foley asked about records your words in Transcripts, with "Nothing changed" and what was kept. It used to leave no trace of what you had said.
While it works, the capture pill shows what it heard under "Organizing", as the phone always has - two lines at most. The web capture sheet does the same.
After Foley tells you about one task, "it's done" completes it rather than asking which task you meant. When the reply named several, it still asks.
The organiser's instructions are about 6% shorter, so each capture costs a little less; in our test set it answered the same way.
On Windows, this release also brings what 1.0.57 brought to the Mac: Skip on a task offered from your clipboard no longer creates it anyway; a task outside what Foley was reading is offered rather than called missing; a generic title like "Call" no longer crowds out your other tasks; and captures through Foley's service wait while it tries a second provider instead of giving up at 20 seconds.
1.0.57
21 September 2026 Mac
Saying Skip to a task Foley offered from your clipboard no longer creates that task anyway. Foley could decline the offer and then add a second copy of the task it had just shown you; it now leaves it alone and says it already exists.
When the task you pointed at is outside what Foley was reading, it no longer tells you it has no such task. It says it looked through all of your tasks and offers the one that is there, instead of offering to create a duplicate.
A short, generic task title such as "Call" or "Review" no longer crowds your other tasks out of what the organiser reads. It used to be put first on every capture, whatever you said.
For captures that go through Foley's service rather than your own OpenRouter key: when a provider is slow, Foley now waits while the service tries a second one, instead of giving up at 20 seconds just as it switched.
1.0.56
21 September 2026 Mac · Windows
When a task is named only in something you pasted, Foley asks which one you mean before touching anything, and tapping the one it offers goes ahead with that task. Point it at a note or a picture on your clipboard and it used to read the note correctly and then say it could not find the task, because nothing you said out loud named it.
Tasks due today and tomorrow reach the organiser even when you have a long tail of overdue ones. The places kept for dated tasks all went to the oldest overdue items; half of them now go to what is due soonest.
Pressing Keep on a deletion Foley asked about no longer leaves an "Unfinished capture" behind. The capture had ended with nothing changed, but the desk still offered to retry it - which would have asked about the same deletion again.
Copy words on an unfinished capture now says plainly when it cannot reach the clipboard: "Foley could not reach the clipboard. Click the Foley window and try again." It used to show the browser's own permission error in red above the capture, where it read as the capture itself having failed.
Hide for now on the hints card lasts. It used to come back the next time Foley started.
1.0.55

Error messages look like errors again. Fifteen of them - across Settings, the transcript history, the feedback panel and the recovery notices - were being drawn in ordinary body colour instead of red, so the line telling you something had gone wrong read as an ordinary sentence.
The capture report no longer squashes its own buttons. After a long reply - a planned day, or a capture that touched a whole project - Follow up and Dismiss were stretched into full-height slabs beside the list and the label was cut to "Follow ...". The report now sits above them and scrolls on its own.
A project you delete in the browser stays deleted. Deleting one and then letting Foley sync could bring it back, because the list of what you have access to was being treated as a list of what to put back.
Foley knows a capture can come from a watch. Older versions did not recognise that, and one such capture could stop the transcript history syncing rather than simply not showing.
For anyone using their own OpenRouter key: the daily planning chat now asks for a provider order, so a slow provider has a second one to fall back to instead of failing outright. Captures have had this since 1.0.53.
1.0.54
20 September 2026 Mac · Windows
Foley can be told to work on a whole project by name. "Move all the tasks inside AgentSpend into FlockTab dot com" now reaches Foley with that project's tasks in front of it, rather than whichever thirty tasks happened to be most recent - so the ones it moves are the ones you meant.
Foley no longer says it did more than it did. A reply could claim "Moved the four" when two of them named tasks that were not there and only two moved. That sentence is spoken, so nothing on screen contradicted it; it is now held against what actually changed, and a reply that is only answering a question is left exactly as Foley wrote it.
A project you delete stays deleted. Deleting one and then letting Foley sync could bring it back, because the list of what you have access to was treated as a list of what to put back. The delete is remembered now, and if somebody shares that project with you again Foley can offer to bring it back rather than doing it behind you.
When Foley will not delete something, it says why where you clicked. A shared project cannot be deleted from one machine - everyone else would keep it and never hear about it - and Foley has always refused. It closed the menu and put the reason under the sidebar for five seconds, so what you saw was the menu disappearing. The reason now stays in the menu, under the button you pressed.
Right-click menus open where they fit. On a long sidebar the menu could run past the bottom of the window with Delete below the edge of the screen. It is now placed from its own measured size.
Archived projects and folders have their menu back. Right-clicking an archived row used to give the browser's menu instead of Foley's, so Restore, Rename and Delete were out of reach; an archived folder's name is a proper button now, so the keyboard reaches it too.

Foley can be told to work on a whole project by name. Saying "move everything in AgentSpend into FlockTab" now reaches Foley with that project's tasks in front of it, so the ones it moves are the ones you meant.
Foley no longer says it did more than it did. A reply could claim it had moved four things when two of them were not there and only two moved; what it tells you is now held against what actually changed.
Foley installs on more Android phones. The camera was being treated as required hardware, which hid the app from devices that do not have one.

Foley works out which task you meant. Saying "mark that one as done" straight after Foley has named a task used to be met with a question about which one; it now works it out and acts. It can only ever choose from the tasks it just offered you, so it cannot name one you do not have, and if the answer does not come back quickly you get the same question you would have got before.
An update no longer loses what you were part-way through saying. If a new version arrived while a capture was still open, the words in flight went with the process it replaced. Foley writes them down before it hands over now, and they are waiting for you when it comes back.
A capture you made before signing in is kept for you. Speaking to Foley while signed out and then signing in used to leave that capture behind; it is now filed under the account you signed into.
Settings no longer waits for ever on the billing service. Asking where your subscription stands could hang with nothing to show for it; it gives up after ten seconds and says so, and your subscription is unchanged either way.
1.0.52
20 September 2026 iPhone and iPad · Android
Foley hears you as you speak. The words appear while you are still talking, and Stop no longer waits for the recording to catch up.
Follow up keeps the conversation. When Foley answers, the next thing you say carries what you just said, what Foley replied, and the tasks that round touched - so "mark that one as done" needs no second explanation.
The spoken reply starts sooner. It now streams as it is made rather than waiting to be finished first, and it is audible again after the phone has listened to you.
Your plan is the better of what the App Store sold you and what the service already knows about. The two no longer disagree.
When Foley cannot do something, it says so in a sentence rather than as a bare failure - and checking where your subscription stands no longer waits for ever when the service is slow to answer.

Follow up on the Mac. When Foley answers, "Follow up" keeps the conversation: the next thing you say carries what you just said, what Foley answered, and the tasks that round touched - so "mark that one as done" needs no second explanation. A round that only asked you something now shows a question mark rather than a tick, with no Undo, because nothing was written.
Declining a question leaves your task alone. When Foley could not tell which task you meant and asked, choosing Skip used to have the same effect as confirming it. It does not any more.
Foley says which build you are looking at. A version number on its own could not tell you whether you were running the app or the development server; it now reads "(dev)" or "(pre-release)" when it is not the build the world has.
The daily plan is quicker. It now tells the service what kind of call it is, so it is tuned like the work it is rather than like an ordinary chat.
Two marks in the capture window can be read in daylight. The question mark and the tick were drawn in a colour the light theme could not carry.
1.0.51
18 September 2026 Mac · Windows
When an answer is too long to file, Foley says what to do about it. A capture that ran past the model's ceiling now retries at a size that fits, and if it still cannot be filed you are told "The answer was too long to file; try shorter" instead of a general failure. A reply that came back malformed says so separately, because the two have different fixes - and either way your words are kept.
"Done" on its own no longer picks a task for you. Saying a verb with nothing the task is about attached used to be enough for Foley to complete whatever looked closest - "...is done" completed the wrong task outright - and it now asks which one you meant.
The admin dashboard can see how fast the AI is and who served it, and its figures now count every platform rather than only the ones that happened to identify themselves.

Foley is on your wrist. The Apple Watch and Wear apps capture on their own: speak a task straight to the watch and it files over its own connection, with no phone in your pocket. When Foley needs to know something - "when is this due?" - it asks on the watch, and you answer by speaking. It reads the result back to you, and the words are always on screen as well.
Setting the watch up is one step, once: on the phone open Settings, scroll to Apple Watch, and tap "Set up my watch". The watch has your account from then on and never needs the phone again.
Opening Foley somewhere new is quick again. A fresh window or a new device used to replay your whole history before it could show you anything; it now starts from a snapshot and catches up from there, so your list is on screen almost at once.
Ask Plan about several things at once and it answers each of them, rather than replying to the batch as though it were one question. A reminder you asked for is filed with the task it belongs to instead of on its own.
On the phone, a setting you have chosen no longer reads as greyed out.
When the service turns a capture down, Foley now tells you why in the service's own words - "photo capture is part of Foley Pro", say - instead of a number. And a capture that is simply taking a while is no longer described as unfinished: the words stay on screen as in progress, so a slow answer arrives to a desk that was still waiting for it rather than one that had given up.
When Foley still has a question about what you said, it now asks it without also filing half of it. A round either asks or acts.
A reminder that arrives late says so. "Due at 22:00" is what an on-time alert reads; one that reaches you afterwards now says "Was due at 22:00", so a notification held back by the machine cannot look like a punctual one.
On Mac, Windows and the web this is also the release that carries 1.0.49's changes, which went to the phone first: the research that follows a changed mind, findings that are never silently overwritten, and a plain sentence instead of a raw error when a reply runs out of room mid-answer.
And on the desktop, an update that cannot finish now tells you. If Foley downloads a new version and the restart does not happen, you get a line saying so rather than a window that looks like it worked.
1.0.49
14 September 2026 iPhone and iPad · Android
This one is for the phone, and it carries two releases' worth of changes. 1.0.48 went out on Mac, Windows and the web only - the rules Foley organises by are compiled into the phone app, so they reach you when a build clears the stores rather than when the desktop updates. Everything below has been waiting for this.
When Foley needs to know where, it asks instead of guessing. Saying "find me a ramen place nearby" used to send a search for "nearby" and come back with nothing useful; now it asks which town or area, and remembers the answer for the rest of the conversation. It quotes your own words back when it asks, and if the phrase came from Foley rather than from you, it asks plainly instead of putting words in your mouth.
That holds when you say two things at once. "Find a table near home for Friday and add a task to collect the cake from the bakery on Armenian Street" used to take the bakery's street as an answer about the restaurant, and search for "near home" anyway. Each errand is asked about on its own.
Asking Foley a question now gets you an answer. "What is the best coffee around here" used to produce nothing at all. It now treats a question as something to go and find out, and makes the task the findings hang on. Naming a place and what you need - "a car workshop in Jelutong that does Volvos" - is enough; Foley writes the errand down and goes and looks it up.
When you change your mind, the findings change with it. Say "actually, somewhere closer to Tanjong Tokong instead of George Town" and the research sitting under that task was answering the old question - specific, confident and wrong. Foley now notices that the place, the cuisine, the number of people or the date has changed, removes the findings that no longer apply, and goes and looks again. The task says why, so a set of findings never quietly disappears. It also stops asking about the place you just rejected.
Findings you were given stay yours until Foley replaces them properly, and if a new search comes back with nothing you are told the old findings were removed rather than left wondering.
When nothing happens, Foley says why. A capture that produced no tasks used to show "Nothing to change." even when Foley had a reason and had written it down. You now see the reason. And when what you asked for is already true, Foley says so instead of doing nothing quietly.
When a reply runs out of room mid-answer, Foley says so in words. A long answer that got cut off used to surface as the raw error from the thing that failed to read it. You now get the same sentence the Mac has always given: the answer was cut off, retry or ask for a smaller piece.
Booking something for a dated event makes two entries: the event on the day itself keeping the time you said, and the booking to arrange it beforehand. Research findings land on the booking - the one you read while phoning the restaurant, not while eating.
What you write under a set of findings stays yours. Foley marks where its own findings end, so a note you add afterwards is no longer read as part of them - it used to be fed back into the next search.
A dictionary change Foley cannot make is now a question rather than silence. It names the word you actually said, and offers to make the change.
A task you edit on your phone and again on your desktop is now stored the same way both times.

Research findings land on the booking - the one you read while phoning the restaurant, not while eating. If only one entry comes back, Foley says so rather than inventing the other.
What you write under a set of findings stays yours. Foley marks where its own findings end, so a note you add afterwards is no longer read as part of them - it used to be fed back into the next search, and a note that happened to start with the words Foley uses could be removed altogether.
A dictionary change Foley cannot make is now a question rather than silence. It names the word you actually said, and offers to make the change.
The browser and the phone got all of the above; they had been running older rules than the desktop. They also now read a task's text exactly the way the Mac does, so a task you edit on your phone and again on your desktop is stored the same way both times.
The phone gets all of the above too, but it follows: the shared rules are compiled into the app, so a phone build has to clear the stores before they reach you. It arrives as 1.0.49, above, together with that release's own changes.

On Mac and the web, Settings and your account open as windows over whatever you were looking at, so your desk, an open task and Hints stay where they were. In Settings, sections run down the left: General, Voice, Rules, Daily plan, AI, Connections, System and Sync, then Account, Plan and billing and Feedback. Save and Cancel stay at the bottom whichever section is open. The Account or Sign in button in the sidebar no longer replaces your task list, so the "Back to tasks" button is gone. Escape or a click outside closes either window.
A few settings moved to where they belong: the MCP key is under Connections, signing in is under Account, your OpenRouter key and who pays for AI are under Plan and billing, and Updates is under System, along with Permissions, Storage and Recovered files on the desktop app.
On Mac and the web, the project sidebar and the column beside your tasks are white now, with a lifted graphite in dark mode, so they read as panels beside the workspace rather than more of it.
Hints sits inside the task column instead of stretching across the page, so the column beside it starts at the top again. Each hint names the control it opens rather than pointing at the word "here", and hints that open Settings land on the right section and outline the control there.
On Mac and the web, your projects appear with their names as soon as you sign in instead of as long codes, and a project that has no name yet says "Untitled project". On the web, a brief network drop no longer stops the first sync after signing in.
On the phone, Hints arrives with the same tips mapped to the phone's own screens and Settings. The phone has no Type instead button, so that one tip is not offered there.
Foley now uses one version number on every platform. Mac and web move from 0.1.46 and the phone from 1.0.23, all to 1.0.47.
Windows joins this release. Its code signing certificate came through, so Foley for Windows is signed and moves from 0.1.44 straight to 1.0.47 - the first Windows release since signing was resolved, and the end of the SmartScreen warning on download.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is the default organizer, with tested reasoning and room for complete answers. Existing personal model choices stay in place; choose DeepSeek in Settings when using your own OpenRouter key.
Foley can learn a name's spelling when you correct and save a task created from your dictation. Future voice captures use that spelling when the surrounding words fit. Typed names and your manually configured Dictionary stay separate.
Learned spellings in Settings shows the saved names and lets you forget one at any time. Spellings sync privately across your signed-in devices and are included in account export and deletion. Signed-out spellings stay on the device. Forgotten spellings cannot return through a delayed upload.
One-off spelling instructions apply to the current task. Changes to the manual Dictionary require an explicit command, so a correction cannot silently remove a saved word.
Ask Foley to research a task or choose Research this to append cited findings to its details. Foley asks for missing context first. Research uses your own OpenRouter key or the research allowance included with Foley Pro.
Hints at the top of the workspace explains one relevant thing at a time and links straight to the control it describes. Choosing a link highlights that control, or opens the Settings field it refers to, and changes nothing on your behalf. Hide for now quiets suggestions for the session, Got it retires one for good, and All hints lists every tip including those for screens you are not on.
The web sign-in screen offers Apple and email alongside Google, with email account creation and password reset in the same flow.
The web app recovers database ownership between tabs without removing saved database files after a failed startup. Save unfinished edits and update other open Foley browser tabs so their data connections can work together.
Windows does not receive 0.1.46. Its code signing certificate is still pending, and Foley will not ship another unsigned installer, so Windows stays on 0.1.44 until that is resolved.

Transcript history now syncs privately between devices signed into your account. Each entry shows where it was submitted, with Unknown kept for older entries that never recorded a platform. Import earlier unassigned local history when you choose, load older entries, and copy your words together with follow-up answers. Recordings, images and clipboard attachments are excluded from history sync; a synced copy cannot replay another device's actions.
New unfinished captures preserve their words and follow-up answers for Retry or Copy. The desktop app shows saved attempts after restart, and Discard explicitly removes one. The capture widget returns to its compact progress pill after a follow-up question, with Cancel available while Foley is organising.
Settings separates saved browser data from General, keeps the plan's weekday choices with Daily plan, and explains that your own OpenRouter key is available in desktop and native phone apps while the browser uses your account's AI service. Privacy information distinguishes server encryption from service access.
Settings now includes feedback on desktop, web and phone. The form supports problems, ideas and other messages on any plan. Choose whether to include your verified email for a reply. Tasks, transcripts, logs and saved unsent edits are not attached automatically. Each submission has a support reference and a clear delivery status, and retrying an uncertain submission keeps that reference.
Account exports include private transcript history and feedback. Account deletion waits for confirmed private-data cleanup before completing on the phone, and delayed uploads cannot recreate the deleted private history.

Log keeps your transcript history across restarts and syncs privately with your other Foley devices. Entries show the submission platform, saved results and follow-up answers. Copy includes those answers, and Load earlier history reaches older entries. Earlier unassigned history is imported only when you choose.
Feedback is under Settings, App. The form supports problems and ideas, optional contact email and delivery status. Tasks, transcripts and logs are not attached automatically.
Account deletion confirms private history and feedback cleanup before removing this device's account data. Privacy information explains what is stored and synced, including server encryption and service access.

Desktop account changes now update local project access together, so a completed sign-out cannot leave an earlier account's editing permissions behind.
When an older browser tab needs updating, Foley puts the update instructions and Reload button in view. Active recordings and unfinished typed edits stay available, with their cancel and review controls, while new edits wait for the update to finish.

Viewer access is now reflected throughout shared projects. Editing controls explain when Editor access is needed, while tasks and comments remain readable.
If access changes before an edit is sent, Foley keeps the original edit in Settings for review and export and continues receiving shared updates. Saved edits are never sent again automatically after an access upgrade.
Never released to the stores on its own. These changes reach the App Store and Google Play as part of 1.0.22 above.

Shared projects now respect Viewer access throughout Foley. Viewers can read tasks and comments, while editing controls explain when Editor access is needed. Only the owner can invite people or change project access.
If access changes while an edit is waiting to sync, Foley keeps the unsent edit in Settings for review and export, restores the shared copy when its history is available, and continues receiving updates. Saved edits are never sent again automatically when access changes back.
Invitation emails describe the selected role. Browser invitation pages have correct spacing, and opening an invitation alongside other Foley tabs no longer leaves the sharing panel stuck waiting for another tab.

Foley now tells the sync service which app it is and which version, so the people running Foley can see how many are on the Mac, on Windows, on the phone and on the web, and which builds are in use. Nothing about your tasks, your words or your projects is sent with it - only the platform name and the version number.
Nothing else changes in this release; it exists so the Mac and Windows apps start counting alongside the web.
Published for the Mac on 9 September. The Windows build follows once its code-signing certificate is reissued.

Sharing no longer waits indefinitely when sign-in or a request stalls. A created invitation is available before the access list refreshes, copied links work across Foley clients, and unconfirmed email delivery offers a link to share. Pending invitations can be refreshed and cancelled before trying again.
The sidebar and Settings stay in step when a new version becomes available. Foley checks periodically and when you return to the app. On the web, Updates offers a reload when a newer release is ready; save any unfinished edits first.
Selecting a project now shows its name above the task list. Selected projects use the same highlight as the main navigation.
Browser accounts use separate workspaces. When earlier saved data has no verified account, Foley preserves it separately and can load the signed-in account's synced projects. A saved-data backup is available in Settings when the earlier data can be exported.

Capture history now shows the saved rules Foley reported using, with the exact instruction and revision from that capture. Open the rule count to inspect them. Older captures keep their existing history without guessed attribution.
The workspace sidebar has clearer selection and keyboard focus. The update button opens Settings directly at Updates while preserving unsaved settings. Web recording shows microphone startup and useful speech-service errors; cancelling or retrying releases the previous recording, and final words are kept when they arrive after Send.
This release also includes sign-in sync progress and Retry, more reliable project and folder recovery, and the latest capture corrections for reminders, weekday dates, explicit operations and restated estimates. Reminder questions preserve your newer answer and existing task times. Rule changes still require your approval.

Signing in now shows sync progress and useful errors, with a Retry action when the connection fails. Existing local work is preserved, and projects and folder placement recover more reliably across devices.
Capture asks which task you mean when reminder names overlap, and asks for missing timing before saving changes. Fixed reminder clocks remain fixed when a task moves, while a newer clarification answer takes precedence over the original request. Existing task hours are preserved.
Rules handle equivalent preferences and inactive edits more consistently while keeping approval in your hands. Explicit delete requests, weekday dates and restated estimates such as "a day, eight hours" now retain your intended meaning. The sidebar and Settings also share the same update status.

Rules let you tell Foley how to organise future captures. Ask for a standing preference, review the proposed rule and confirm it. Manage, edit, pause or delete your rules in Settings. Signed-in rules sync privately across devices; your explicit instruction for the current capture takes precedence.
Explicit reminders are preserved and reported after saving. Reminder-only changes refresh sync and notifications, and phone task details now show the same reminder label as the task list.
Binary settings use labelled switches, including the Plan option to exclude tasks made by agents. Web database recovery and task rows in narrow panes also include the latest loading and layout fixes.

Eligible introductory offers are now applied for you at checkout. Foley's pricing and account pages show the introductory price and what follows it. On iPhone and Android, Pro opens the store's own flow for redeeming store codes.
Task cards stay readable in narrow windows: project labels, dates and reminders wrap beneath the title instead of colliding with it.
This release also includes the latest billing details and offer support across desktop, mobile and web, with consistent validation for task titles and dates.

Daily desk brings your day into focus. Choose Today, another day in the week, or All tasks, while keeping your project and maker filters. On a wide window, task details open beside the list; smaller windows keep navigation within reach.
Speak is the main way in, with typing close by. The phone keeps its capture controls above the navigation tabs, while Plan uses its own composer. Saved grouping choices still work, and opening a task keeps your place in the day.
On mobile, project and folder counts line up, sync warnings are readable in both themes, and descriptions have a formatted Markdown preview while editing. Task previews also display formatted text instead of Markdown markers.
Web appearance changes now take effect as soon as you save. Keyboard focus follows the project drawer when it opens and returns when it closes.
On the phone, the Foley Pro screen has a Redeem a code entry beside Restore a purchase, for App Store offer codes and Google Play promo codes.

You can now edit a task where you read it. Open a task and press Edit: the title, project, status, priority, due date and time, reminder, estimate and details are all fields, and Save writes only what you changed. Details take Markdown, as they always displayed it.
A title longer than 500 characters is refused with a note rather than cut short, on every device.
"By due date" now orders two tasks on the same day by their time, and the phone's groups follow the same order as the Mac and the web, so an overdue task sits at the top of its group everywhere.

Sync handles overlapping activity and old queued changes more reliably. Placeholder tasks are kept out of the change log, and interrupted batches resume from the changes that still need sending. Moves and recovery snapshots keep a task's original creation date.
Settings can now show unusually large or busy sync logs, with a recovery guide. The service also emails project owners about abnormal activity, with limits to avoid repeated warnings.
The maker filter is now visible as Anyone, Me and Agents buttons. Sidebar counts follow the selected maker, and Calendar and Timeline say which projects and makers they are showing.
Context menus keep one active row as you move the pointer or use the arrow keys. Task details lift section labels consistently, and connected agents get clearer guidance for short, structured notes.
Foley comes back to the foreground after browser consent for sign-in, Google Calendar or Slack.

A task you name is always in the organiser's view. Say "move the Madoka pricing follow-up to Madoka Launch" and the organiser finds that task even when a hundred newer ones sit above it. Before, it only ever saw the thirty most recent, matched the nearest title it could see, and reported the move done when it was not.

A command in a task's details can be copied with one click. Every fenced code block now carries a copy button in its corner, on the Mac, on Windows, in the browser and on the phone. Agents that file tasks through Foley are told to put anything you will run or paste in such a block.
In Select mode, shift-click picks every task between the last one you picked and the one you clicked, in the order the list shows them.
Dragging a task onto a project no longer leaves the whole list's text selected behind it.
A change made while you are not at the window still reaches your other devices: a task an agent adds through Foley's MCP, or an edit you make and walk away from, is sent within thirty seconds, instead of waiting until you next touch the app.

Notifications say the same thing on every device. When a task falls due the notification reads "Due at 10:00"; a reminder set before it reads "Due in 30 minutes, at 10:00", and a reminder at a spoken time counts the real gap - "Due in 1 hour 55 minutes, at 20:00". The Mac, Windows, the browser and the phone now share one wording and one firing rule, checked against each other by the same test cases.
On the phone, choosing "Off" for the heads-up no longer cancels the notifications for tasks falling due, and the setting explains itself: Foley tells you when a timed task falls due; this adds an earlier heads-up.
0.1.27
4 September 2026 Mac · Windows · Web
Every task with a time of day is announced when it falls due. Until now only a task you had asked a reminder for was ever announced; now the due moment itself brings a notification - "Due at 10:00" - on the Mac, on Windows, in the browser and on the phone. A reminder you set before it is a second, earlier notification, as before. A task with only a date is not announced, because there is no moment to fire at.
The web app notifies too, while its tab is open: Settings, Permissions, Reminders has the button that lets the browser show them.
0.1.26
3 September 2026 Mac · Windows · Web
A spoken time is heard as one. "Remind me at 10:10 PM" used to arrive from the speech model as "10, 10 PM" and land at 10 o'clock; those words are now read as 10:10 before the organiser sees them, on every client.
"Remind me in three minutes" sets a reminder three minutes from now, as a clock time. Before, it came back as an offset Foley does not have, and nothing was set.
When a reminder or another change is refused, the Transcripts log says so on the capture itself, instead of showing the action as if it had happened.
Two tasks with the same name in different projects now get a question - "There is more than one task called 'Report expenses'. Which one did you mean?" - instead of a guess. Saying "both" or naming the project skips the question.
The organiser follows a few more rules it kept breaking: "cancel the reminder" turns it off, a priority you say wins over one it would infer, "bring back the old blog project" keeps the whole name, and a question like "what's due today?" is answered rather than acted on.
The spoken reply stays in Foley's voice. A summary that began with a verb - "Set a reminder for..." - was being answered by the voice model as if it were a request, and the plain system voice took over. The words are now handed over as text to read.
0.1.25
3 September 2026 Mac · Windows · Web
Reminders can be a spoken time. "Remind me at 6:05" on a task due at 8 PM now sets a reminder for 6:05, on the day the task is due. The six offsets (at the time, 5, 15, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day before) still work as they did. A reminder that rides on a calendar event rounds to the nearest of those offsets.
A task with a reminder says so in the list: a chip beside the due date reads "reminder 30 minutes before" or "reminder 18:05". Until now only the side panel knew.
Hovering a task row shows the accent tint the Select mode uses, instead of a grey.
The sharing panel's pill means what the sidebar icon means: SHARED only when someone else has access, ONLY YOU while the project syncs alone, PRIVATE when it does not sync.
Pressing Speak no longer freezes the window while the microphone opens: the wait for the device happens off the main thread, so a slow driver costs a moment, not five seconds of a stuck app.
On Windows: the installed app signs in and uses the AI without hand-copied configuration, the window opens inside the screen at any display scaling, the close button leaves a tray icon with Open and Quit, a machine with no microphone is told so before recording, and Settings speaks of Windows, not macOS. Plan replies use the same bubbles as your own messages, and the task panel has a rule along its top edge.
0.1.24

Select several tasks at once, on the Mac and the web. A Select button at the end of the list's toolbar turns each row's circle into a square box. Pick the tasks, then complete or reopen them, move them to a project, set their priority, mark who made them, or delete them, all in one go. A click anywhere on a row picks it.
The task's right-click menu is shorter and reads as a menu: Rename, the due date and Made by, then Priority and Move to as panels that open beside it, then Delete. On a long project list the menu's labels used to vanish; they no longer can.
Foley no longer acts on the wrong task. Name a task that is not in view and it asks instead of picking the nearest one; and if the model still reaches for a task you did not name, Foley checks your words against that task's title and asks "Did you mean X?" before anything changes.
Settings warns you when the month's AI use on Foley's key passes 80% of your plan's allowance.
The task panel has a rule along its top edge, so it no longer sits flush against the window's title bar.

Foley 1.0, a to-do list you talk to. Say what is on your mind and Foley files it: the task, the project it belongs to, and the date you actually meant.

On the web and the phone, Foley notices when a task went to the wrong project. Say "under the project called Dashboard" and the model files it elsewhere: the browser asks which you meant, as the Mac does, and the phone says where it went.
Speak a task is a button on the Mac too. The sidebar had the label and the shortcut; now it has the button the web always had, with the shortcut as the hint under it.
Foley asks before the first word goes to the AI service. Once, before your first capture or plan message: what is sent, to whom, and Agree or Not now. Settings has a Privacy switch to take it back. The phone asks the same way.

Download your data. The Account page has "Download my data...": everything the sync service holds about you - your projects, their full change history and your synced settings - saved as one JSON file wherever you choose.
The daily plan is your own day. Tasks an agent filed stay out of "what should I work on" and the proposed schedule, on every device. It is on by default; Settings has the switch. A capture can still complete or move an agent's task by name.
Fix up who made a task. Right-click a task for "Made by an agent" (or "Made by me"), or a project for "Mark all tasks as made by an agent", so tasks an agent created before Foley recorded who made them are filtered and planned correctly. The change reaches your other devices.
Click a task in the day plan. Each line of the proposed schedule that names one of your tasks is a link, and it opens the task in the same side panel the list uses.
On the web, "mark it done" and "add to the details" now land. A spoken edit that completed a task or added a paragraph to its details used to change nothing in the browser; both apply now, show in Transcripts, and undo cleanly.
Deleting your account tells the truth about attachments. If storage refuses to remove a file, the service tries again and then reports how many were left rather than saying everything is gone.
Agents cannot reach a project you set aside. "Keep out of AI context" now also closes the door to agents: the Mac's MCP server and the cloud one both refuse to list it, read it or add to it, and tell the agent why.
"Keep out of AI context" now follows you. It used to live only on this Mac, so a capture from your phone or the browser still put that project in front of the model. It now travels with your account, per project, and every device keeps that project out of the prompts it sends.
Clicking a task opens it again. In 0.1.21 a click on a task's title in the List highlighted the row and did nothing else, so the details drawer could not be opened with the mouse. The row was holding the pointer for drag-to-move from the moment you pressed, which stole the click; it now waits until you actually drag.
Write what changed for the person using Foley, not what changed in the code.
These words are the entire release: they are what the update dialog shows, and for most people they are the only thing they will ever read about this version. Compare with 0.1.9, which said what actually happened to them:
> Your folders now reach your other devices. Foley kept where you file each > project on the Mac only, so a signed-in phone showed a flat list of > everything.
Not "added folder field to UserProjects DO". Same change, and only one of the two tells them anything.

Comments now reach the browser.
A comment written on the Mac or the phone arrived at the browser and was thrown away, not delayed: the browser's sync knew how to file a task and a project and let anything else fall through. It files comments now, with the same two checks the phone makes - the author comes from the envelope, never the body, and the task has to belong to the project the comment claims.
Two browser tabs, one Foley.
Opening Foley in a second tab used to get "Foley is already open in another tab" and nothing else, which is hardest on the person most likely to want two - the dashboard beside their tasks. The tab that holds the database now answers for the others, and when it closes, the next tab takes over on its own.
Seven things the browser said it did and did not.
Moving a project into a folder, renaming a folder, and five more everyday actions were being sent an id the browser never read, so they reported success and changed nothing. Ticking a task off was one of them. Each now does what it says, and a check in the build fails if a new command drifts the same way.
Four everyday actions stop waiting for the network.
Ticking, moving, renaming and deleting used to hold the screen until the service had answered. They answer at once now and sync behind you, which is the difference between a drag that lands and a drag that "took ages to actually move".
A project made on your phone now shows on the Mac.
The Mac only counted members for projects it had created itself, so a project started on the phone or in the browser was synced, counted, and never listed. It adopts them now.
Foley no longer says which AI model it used.
It was printed in a few places as a debugging aid; the model is the service's choice and not something you can change, so the line was noise.
An MCP key expires after 90 days, and a new one cancels the old.
A key pasted into a connector and then forgotten was, until now, your whole account for ever. Settings says so where the key is made. Invitations are also rate-limited, and the closing of the capture widget mid-readback now stops the voice, both found by a security audit whose report is in the repository.
Signing in on the web no longer sticks on "NOT SIGNED IN" until you reload.
Google answered, the app was signed in, and the account page threw an error under the button and kept saying you were not. The screen that reports the sign-in was reading the answer in a shape the service stopped sending; the Settings card had been corrected and this one had not. Both read the same answer now.
The Timeline's rows are the same cards as the List, and you can tick a task off from there.
The Timeline had kept the old flat rows - a small dot, a hairline between them, and no way to finish a task without going back to the List. Each entry is now the same bordered card, with the same tick, the same details preview and the same due and project chips, so the two views read as one app.
Tasks an agent added are out of the way by default, on every view.
The List could already filter by who made a task; the Timeline and the Calendar showed everything, with no control in sight - so an agent filing a hundred suggestions from a chat channel buried your own work on both. The same "Anyone / Made by me / Made by an agent" control now sits above all three views, and every view opens on Made by me. The agent's work is one click away, and Settings has a "Default maker filter" beside the other defaults if you would rather open on everything.
The Timeline fills the window, and an empty day looks like one.
Its rows were capped at half the width the List uses, and a day with nothing due was a bare line under its heading. The rows now span the main area like the List's, and an empty Today or Tomorrow is a dashed, unfilled card in the same frame as the tasks around it.

Foley no longer stops working when your trial ends.
Before this version, the week ran out and that was that: no voice, no organiser, nothing until you subscribed or brought your own OpenRouter key. There is a free plan now - 50 captures a month, on a lighter model - so the app keeps doing the thing it is for while you decide.
A trial is unchanged and deliberately so: for those seven days you get exactly what a subscriber gets, because a trial that quietly served you the cheaper model would be letting you evaluate the wrong product.
When the 50 are used up Foley says so, and says they come back next month, rather than showing the "your free week is up" screen to somebody whose free week ended long ago.
Which AI model each plan uses is now decided by the service, not by the app.
Every version of Foley used to name its own model on our key. The browser named none at all, for its whole life, so every capture made in a browser came back with OpenRouter's "No models provided" - an error shown to the person who had just spoken. The service now sets the model on every request as it leaves, for speech as well as text, so there is nothing left for a client to get wrong.
Speech was the half that mattered most and the half that had never been checked: it is billed by the second of audio, and the model was riding along inside the upload untouched.
Signing in works when running Foley locally.
The development server was never given the sign-in key - only the release build was - so anybody running the app from source got "This build was made without the sign-in configuration" and could not get past it.
Moving a task to another project now actually moves it.
It used to move only on the Mac you did it on. Foley files changes per project, and a move was the one change that produced no record at all - so your phone and your browser kept the task in the project it came from, for ever, while the Mac showed it in the new one. Any edit you made afterwards landed in the new project's file as a change to something it had never heard of.
Both halves are told now: the project it left, and the project it arrived in, which is sent the whole task rather than just the part that changed.
A task already stranded by this needs telling once: move it to another project and back. From this version on, moves carry themselves.
Deleting a task now removes it from your phone too. The phone had no handling for a deletion arriving from elsewhere at all, so a task you deleted on the Mac stayed on the phone permanently.
Foley can be reached by an AI tool that is not on your Mac.
Cursor, Grok, Claude - anything that speaks MCP - can now read and change your tasks over the internet. Settings has the address and a Create a key button; the key is yours alone and reaches only what your account can already see. Foley has always been able to do this for a tool on the same machine, which was no help at all for one that runs in a browser or on somebody else's server.
Settings reads as one screen again.
Every setting's name is now the same size, whichever card it is in - "OpenRouter key" and "Sharing" had been rendering half again as large as "Appearance" and "Timezone" one card away. The group headings sit a level above the settings under them instead of level with them, the gaps between settings are the same everywhere, and one card that had no heading at all has one.
Small text that was quietly shouting. The explanation under a setting had four different sizes across the app, and on the Plan tab it was not faint at all - it named a colour that does not exist, so it fell back to full-strength ink and read as loudly as the content above it.

The sidebar can tell you which projects somebody else is actually in.
It always drew a "shared" icon from a flag that only means the project takes part in sync - and signing in switches that on for every project you own, so the icon was true of all of them and told you nothing. Worse on the phone, where it appeared on every row and read as "everyone can see this".
Foley now asks the service who is really in each project, once per sync round, and marks only those. Most people will see no icons at all, which is the correct answer: nothing is shared with anybody.
Invitations you have sent now show up where you look for them.
"Who has access" listed members only, and somebody becomes a member when they accept - so sending an invitation changed nothing on screen, and there was nowhere to check the address for a typo or take it back. Pending invitations now appear above the member list, straight from the service, so an invitation sent from your phone shows on the Mac too, and each has a Cancel button.
Reminders you set by voice land on the right task.
Asking for a reminder used to create a second task instead of setting one, and when it did set one it could pick the wrong task, because the instruction Foley gives the AI described the action without giving it anywhere to name the task. It now says which task, out loud, and gets the one you meant.
Settings reads as one screen again. Every setting's name is now the same size, whichever card it is in - "OpenRouter key" and "Sharing" had been rendering half again as large as "Appearance" and "Timezone" one card away.

"Remind me 15 minutes before" now sets the reminder on the task you meant. Asking for a reminder about something you are creating in the same breath used to put it on an unrelated task - the new one had no id yet, so Foley reached for the nearest thing it could name. It asks for the task by title now.
Reminders show on the task. Open one and there is a Reminder line beside Due and Created, in the same words Settings uses. If the task has no time of day it says so, rather than sitting there looking set while never firing.
The capture log says what actually changed. Moving a task's time showed as "(due_date)" - naming the one thing that had not moved - and moving a task to another project showed nothing at all. It was describing six of the eight things an edit can change.
Signing in to the admin page while signed out said "not available on your account", which is a sentence about an account you do not have. It now says to sign in.

Reminders. Say "remind me 30 minutes before" about something already on your list and Foley sets a reminder on it, instead of what it used to do - which was make a second copy of the task at the earlier time, because it had no word for a reminder and used the nearest thing it had.
It is an offset, not a fixed time, so moving the appointment moves the reminder with it. Your Mac raises it, and so does your phone. If the task has a calendar event, its alert is set to match, so it reaches a watch or a car too. Only tasks you actually asked about get one - nothing on your list starts alarming by itself.
If you use your own OpenRouter key, Foley now tells the sync service how much each call cost - the model, the kind of call, and the amount, nothing else. No transcript, no prompt, no task title. It is what makes the usage numbers add up when most people are paying their own provider directly, and it only happens when sharing is switched on and you are signed in.
Comments on tasks. Open a task and there is a thread at the bottom - type, press Enter. On a shared project everyone with access sees it and can reply; on a private one it is a note to yourself. Comments an agent left through the MCP server are marked "agent", the same way agent-made tasks are.
Foley stops asking the service for news when you are not there. It used to run a round every thirty seconds for as long as the app was open, so a Mac left on a desk was still checking at three in the morning. While you are working nothing changes: the same thirty seconds, and coming back to an idle laptop syncs the moment you move the mouse rather than up to half a minute later.
The task panel no longer scrolls away. With a long list it used to slide up with the rows and stop partway down, leaving the list showing underneath it and two scrollbars side by side. It now stays where it is while the list scrolls behind it, and it closes when you open Settings - it describes a task, and Settings is not a task.
Clicking a project while Settings is open now takes you there. Before, the highlight moved and the tasks loaded but the screen stayed on Settings, so you had to find "Back to tasks" at the bottom of the sidebar.
Scrollbars look like Foley's again, everywhere. One line in the stylesheet was quietly cancelling the styling on every surface at once.
Settings shows your account id, under Sharing, when you are signed in. It is the only name the sync service knows you by.
Signing in on the web threw an error instead of signing you in. Fixed.
More than half the app's buttons were in the wrong typeface, which is what made them look like plain browser buttons rather than part of the app.
The version is at the bottom of Settings, here, on the web and on your phone.

Comments on tasks. Open a task and there is a thread at the bottom - type, press Enter. On a shared project everyone with access sees it and can reply; on a private one it is a note to yourself. Comments an agent left through the MCP server are marked "agent", the same way agent-made tasks are, because knowing whether a person or a machine said something changes what you do next.
Foley now stops asking the service for news when you are not there. It used to run a round every thirty seconds for as long as the app was open - so a Mac left on a desk was still checking at three in the morning, all weekend. While you are working nothing changes: the same thirty seconds, and coming back to an idle laptop syncs the moment you move the mouse rather than up to half a minute later. Measured on the web build: two requests in three and a half idle minutes, against eight before.
Settings shows your account id, under Sharing, when you are signed in. It is the only name the sync service knows you by, and until now the app would not tell you it - you had to go and find it in a console.
Signing in on the web threw a TypeError instead of signing you in. The command answered with a different shape in the browser than on the Mac, and the panel read one of them. Fixed, with a test that fails if the two ever disagree again.
More than half the app's buttons were in the wrong typeface. Browsers give buttons the system font unless told otherwise, and eight of fifteen button styles never said - so those buttons quietly looked like a different app. All of them now match the text around them.

You can share a whole folder. Right-click one and choose "Share this folder and everything in it". Every project inside is shared, and so is anything you put in it later - the folder becomes the shared space rather than a one-time selection.
Because of that, moving a project into a shared folder now asks first. It says which folder, and that it cannot be undone, because Foley has no way to un-share a project yet. It does not ask when the project is already shared, since nothing would change.
Which folders are shared travels with your account, so a folder you share here is a shared space on your phone and in the browser too. Without that, dropping a project into it somewhere else would quietly not share it.
Tasks an agent made before this release now say so. They always carried that mark on this Mac, but the field was being discarded when it reached your phone and the browser, so the same task looked agent-made here and hand-written there. Fixed, and the ones you already have are re-sent once so they catch up.

Settings sits in the middle of the window now. It was pinned to the left edge, so on a wide window most of the screen was empty and the panel read like something that had failed to load rather than a deliberately narrow column. Sign-in and sharing were doing the same thing and have been moved with it.
This is also the first release with a Windows build. It is not code-signed yet, so Windows will warn that the publisher is unknown before it installs.
