Connecting Foley to ChatGPT

The Foley plugin is made by Hanamori Labs, LLC. It lets ChatGPT list synced projects and tasks and, with write permission, create projects and tasks, edit or complete tasks, and add comments. It works with a free Foley account; no paid Foley subscription is required. The Mac app does not need to be running.

  1. Sign in to the ChatGPT account that has access to the plugin. A signed-out listing error does not show whether your Foley connection works.
  2. Start the connection from ChatGPT, then sign in to the Foley account whose synced projects you want to use. The two services do not have to use the same email address.
  3. Check the account and client on Foley's consent page. Approve read access, and choose write or offline access only if you want them.
  4. Try a read-only request, such as “Show my open Foley tasks.” Check that the projects belong to the intended account before asking for changes.

If a project is missing, check that it has synced to the same Foley account and is not archived or kept out of AI context. Write access also depends on your project role. If the connection expires, start again from ChatGPT. You can inspect and revoke grants on Foley's connections page. Revocation can take time to propagate; see the privacy policy.

For connection problems, include the error text and whether it happened on the ChatGPT listing, Foley sign-in, consent, or a tool request. Redact private task content and credentials from screenshots. Do not send authorization codes, tokens or callback URLs containing them.

Your account and billing

Sign in on your account page to see your plan and your invoices, and to manage a subscription billed on the website. A subscription bought on the phone is managed with whoever billed it: the App Store or Google Play, in their subscription settings.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app. The steps, and what is deleted and what is kept, are on the deletion page.
